There is a surprising phenomenon in Taiwan that many machine tool manufacturers are only assembly factories. That is, when you enter these factories, what you see is only an office and a factory building where there is nothing except machines being assembled. They have no in-house machining equipment, no measuring instruments and no critical parts assembly equipment. This is because probably nearly 100% of the parts are purchased from outside suppliers. They don't purchase parts until receiving the order. In this way, quality control - from incoming materials to parts machining - is fully dependent upon the suppliers, instead of the machine manufacturer. This is because they are not able to inspect critical parts due to the lack of professional staff and measuring instruments.

To ensure the quality and durability of Hartford machines, in most cases only world-class suppliers of procured critical parts are chosen. Suppliers such as FAG Bearings, THK Linear Guide Ways, Schnorr Disc Springs, Grundfos Coolant Pumps, and Omron Sensor, Coupling and Timing Belts. In addition, we have 80 in-house CNC machining centers for critical parts machining. To fully control part accuracy, we machine all critical parts in-house including : spindles, spindle housings, gear boxes, slide guide ways, ATCs and 3-axes bearing housings etc.
