An Open Letter from the General Manager.
Intensely, we suggest that the following questions must be considered and cleared before you make a decision to order a CNC machining center. It would be better to take a look of their factories. A few hours spent enables but a wise decision made correctly.
When you are considering to buy a car, prices are not the only factor in your mind, more color, engine power, power window...ect., perhaps steering functions are also considered. Furthermore, it's for sure you would like to know what brand of car you are driving and who is the manufacturer.
When you are going to spend a lot of money on a CNC machining center, more than the above questions must be confirmed, beyond that you probably don't know at all. Examples as below:
- Do you know who design that machine you are operating ? Where is the factory? Who is the manufacturer?
- A small company with a rented factory. What machining facilityor research/development do they have?
- Do they have necessary measuring instrument, for example, CMM, Laser test and Ball-bar measuring?
- How long have them been in this business? How long are they going to exist? How many employees do they have?
- Were they certified by ISO 9000 ? CE Mark ?
- Who will take care of the after sales service for the machine?
- Who will guarantee the supply of spare parts in the next 10 years?

Indeed, this is a surprising phenomenon happens in Taiwan. Many factories set up only with 5~10 employees, rent a place with no equipment or measuring instrument, only few semi-finished products assembled in factory. More than 50 factories in Taiwan are like this. Each year about 20 new brands come to market but in consequently almost same numbers go bankrupt and disappear in one year. It may sound strange but it's a circular story in Taiwan.
Collectively, they feature in common below :
- They offer low price but no guarantee on the quality and service.
- They are not free-will to invite you visit their factory. use, they have nothing to show you around.
- They only have one or two model because they are new factories and no investment in R&D.
- Long delivery because the capacity only allows them to assemble one or two machines a month.
- Most of them are in unstable financial situation because this is not their main investment.
- Long spare parts deliver because no parts in stock.
- Poor service or trouble-shooting ability because short of manpower.

In brief, you should pay attention to the details, including quality, capacity, service and history of the manufacturer who delivers the machine to you. Because the decision will profoundly influence the long term operation of you company.
Yours faithfully,
