Safety Begins with Education — Hartford Industrial Strengthens Workplace Protection through Fire Safety Seminar
Hartford upholds the spirit of “Quality First, Safety Always” by promoting comprehensive safety education and disaster prevention training, ensuring that every employee becomes a key protector of workplace safety.
To further enhance disaster awareness and emergency response capabilities, Hartford recently organized a Fire Safety Seminar, inviting experienced instructor Mr. Chien-Cheng Lin to deliver an engaging and practical session. Through vivid real-life cases and demonstrations, employees learned how to respond correctly and safely to various emergencies both in daily life and at work.
🔥 Fire Emergency Response
- Explosion of Lithium Battery 3C Devices:
Use a fire extinguisher to put out and cool the fire first, then immerse the device in water to prevent re-ignition.
- Hotel or Building Fire:
If evacuation is not possible, keep doors and windows closed, and seal gaps with towels or clothing to block smoke from entering and causing suffocation.
🌏 Earthquake and Outdoor First Aid
- During an Earthquake:
Follow the three key principles — “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” — to protect your head and neck from falling objects and reduce the risk of injury.
- While Hiking or at High Altitude:
Carry a portable oxygen cylinder to address altitude sickness or fainting due to oxygen deficiency, gaining valuable rescue time to maintain brain oxygen supply.
💓 Emergency Rescue
- When Finding an Unconscious Person without Breathing or Pulse:
Immediately perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) to restore breathing and prevent brain damage caused by oxygen deprivation.
Through Mr. Lin’s clear explanations and practical examples, Hartford employees gained essential knowledge on fire prevention, disaster response, and first aid, reinforcing the importance of preparedness and quick action.
Hartford aims to make disaster awareness a part of its corporate culture, continuously building a safe, healthy, and well-protected working environment for all.
