Hartford Celebrates 60th Anniversary with Five Key Reforms to Embrace a New Era
Driving Precision Empower Machining
Global machining center leader Hartford (She Hong Industrial Co., Ltd.) commemorated its 60th anniversary on July 1 with a grand gratitude banquet held at The Lin Hotel in Taichung. Under the theme “Driving Precision, Empowering the Future,” the event welcomed over 600 esteemed guests, including global agents, suppliers, and key players in the machinery industry, marking a significant milestone in the company’s storied legacy.
Executive Director Jimmy Chen (Chen Chih-Chieh), the third-generation successor who took office earlier this year, emphasized Hartford’s commitment to weathering current market downturns through five key pillars of transformation: enhancing product quality and brand image, driving digital transformation, expanding global reach, cultivating talent, and practicing ESG for sustainable development. Chen expressed confidence that these initiatives will lead Hartford toward another 60 years of brilliance.
“Opportunities are for those who are well prepared,” Chen declared. “Although I took on this role at a young age, growing up in the family business gave me in-depth exposure to various facets of operations. Even during my studies abroad, my passion for the machine tool industry never waned.”
Five Strategic Directions to Lead Industry Transformation
Brand Enhancement: Hartford aims to elevate its brand to global premium standards by producing machining centers that rival those of world-renowned manufacturers, offering excellence in both technology and customer experience.

Global Expansion: The company continues to expand its international sales and service networks, with particular focus on Europe and emerging markets to bring Hartford’s solutions closer to customer needs.
Talent Development: A global-minded, innovation-driven leadership team is being cultivated through cross-disciplinary training, ensuring a robust foundation for long-term growth.
ESG Commitment: Hartford is actively developing low-carbon and net-zero manufacturing technologies, aiming to become a benchmark for sustainability in the machine tool sector.
